Partnership with Parents
At Little Blossoms we offer a personal touch, and we believe this means having a close relationship with parents and carers. We know that parents are the primary educators of their children, and know what their children need. A strong relationship between parents and nursery is crucial to the child's well-being, development and progress.
We keep parents informed about activities and events through regular newsletters, and displays on our noticeboards. We also use Tapestry, an app where we post photos and observations of your child, and where you can post photos and information about what your child has been up to. This is especially important before their focus week so we can have lots of relevant things to talk to them about and plan resources to suit their current interests.
Book of the week is displayed on our board and things that have happened during the day are posted on our private Facebook page with pictures for parents to view (if permission has been given). Parents are encouraged to talk to staff and their child's key person daily, and to keep them informed of significant learning or events at home via WOW stickers and slips.
We ask parents to come in and share special skills with us, or join us on trips. We have family days, such as our sports day and maths/reading weeks, where all parents and carers are invited to join us and feel part of a community.
